We partner for Sustainable Innovation, Biodiversity Restoration &
Climate Resilience across Africa.
Why We Exist
Africa’s climate challenges in numbers & the need for action
-
Africa’s population projected at 25% of the world’s population by 2050.
-
86 million Africans will be displaced by 2050 because of climate change (WB).
-
Despite only contributing to 4% of global emissions, “no continent has been more impacted by climate change-induced natural disasters than Africa”. IFC – Adapting to Natural Disasters in Africa.
-
AfroClimate exists to back the people already solving the climate crisis where it hits hardest, and to do the work alongside them. Built with communities. Designed to last.

How We Solve It
AfroClimate’s unique approach:
entrepreneurship + community-driven solutions
We are a non-profit organization. Our work and purpose are rooted in our central belief that impact is accelerated (and made more meaningful) when localized solutions are elevated over top-down initiatives.
We are Community-First. Growing community-based innovations rooted in local contexts, cultures and aspirations.
