Why We Exist
Despite only contributing to 4% of global emissions, “No continent has been more impacted by climate change-induced natural disasters than Africa”. IFC – Adapting to Natural Disasters in Africa.
AfroClimate exists to elevate climate entrepreneurs to lead bold, localized, scalable solutions for a more climate resilient Africa.

- 3,500 lives directly and 50,000 indirectly improved through visionary, community-centred entrepreneurship.
- $650,000 in equity raised by our supported startups.
- $24,360 in grants secured for community-based organizations.
Innovating Today, Elevating Everyday
- 20 incubators trained, building local capacity for sustainable development
- 16 supported startups, CBOs, and NGOs across 10 African countries
- 5 women-led startups from 3 small island developing States – Seychelles, Madagascar & Comoros- supported.
- 35 global expert volunteers onboarded, enhancing expertise and innovation.
Small Grants, Big Impact
- Issued our first grant to PowerStove Africa in Nigeria to support distribution of 250 units of smart smoke-free cookstoves to 250 homes
- Reaching 1250 people
- Saving them USD 75 000 yearly
- Saving 3 000 trees yearly
- Mitigating 875 tons of CO2 annually for five years
